New-Wave artistit kuten Thomas Dolby, Duran Duran, Talk Talk jne. ikuistivat sen tosiasian että, Syntetisaattori jäi pysyäkseen Pop/Rock musiikin maailmaan. Fairlight CMI ja Synclavier oli ehkä poikkeuksellisen mahtavia syntikoita, itse en omista kumpaakaan, mutta nykyaikasissa Syntikoissa on samplattu vanhojen vintage syntikoiden soudeja. Chick Corea on ehkä parhaiten saanut irti Synclavierin musiikilliset ulottuvuudet, jos kuuntee Chick Corea Elektric Bändin "Light Years" albumia (c) 1987 GRP Records, Inc.

Myös Thomas Dolbyn "Golden Age Of Wireless" (1982) levyllä kuulee, että Fairlight CMI:n sielukkaat soundit iskeytyy Poppiin kuin vesipisara valtamereen.
