Sweet Rosie

Historia: In 2004 after an alcohol filled summer, Tommy and Waldo decided to form a band. The two played and jammed by themselves for some time. Tommy on the lead guitar and Waldo with guitar and vocals. Other members came and went until the next spring. In spring 2005 two starting bands, which both lacked the members the other ones had, united to form one full band. Waldo let go of the guitar and focused solely on vocals to give room for the new guitarist, a drummer was introduced along with the bassist Kalle. After a year the new guitarist left the group but was soon replaced with Mikko. Having played a long time with the former guitarist, the drummer also soon packed his stuff and went out the door. No hard feelings to any direction, but finding a new drummer was frustrating at first. 2008 we found Tuukka for the drums. This was finally a composition where everyone was pretty satisfied with what we were doing. So the rock started rolling, we made a few songs and threw some gigs and decided to give a shot at studio recording. A little before the studio sessions Kalle and Waldo switched roles with the mic and bass. This didn't lead to a satisfactory outcome and Kalle switched back to the bass and Waldo left the group with mutual understanding. The studio sessions were pushing on and the studio owner wanted to try singing our kind of music. We were a singer short, so he was given a shot. First off it sounded pretty good and we threw a few shows with him also. However, he had another band project taking his time along with the studio so due to lack of time he had to drop out. Some time later we found yet another singer but again the outcome wasn't what we were looking for and for the first time the band chemistry didn't meet with the new member, so he was kicked out. The struggle with the vocals had us beaten down a little so there was a longer break after this latest singer. After a years break, in 2011 we received contact from Petu, a potential new singer. We thought "Hell, why not." and the man was invited to a rehersal. Petu liked the music we made and he was a good guy so as for now, he's singing with us. And here we are today. New gigs in the crosshairs and another studio session later on. Hold your breath, this is Sweet Rosie!
