DUSK FALLS UPON

1: A silent gray is painting the scene,

Nothing stays the same as it's time for dusk
to draw the shade on the lonely rock
nothing like we used to see
before glorious scene now erased away.

2: Desperately holding on to one
soothing dream
Some listen to wind cries subdued
some look at the rain come smoothly down
delivering this darkness upon
Feed the fear inside
Something dreadful pulls away the sky.

As all now wade in this tide
having half the road now taken
in the distance the seas embrace the skies
new rise of a silent soil.

Tämän biisin sävellyksen tein alunperin jo vuonna 2008. Tarjosin tätä silloiselle bändilleni, earthlingerille, mutta biisi jäi käyttämättä. Nostalgiamielessä äänittelin tästä sitten uuden version. Lyriikkapuoli on ihan uutta matskua. Ne kirjoitettiin biisin äänityksen yhteydessä :)

writings on a dreary page
every page is intricate
but there's one who can clarify!

CHAPTER 2:
"appearance & innermost"

Deep seams on a skin of a man
tells a tale of great knowledge
wisdom brought to life but
no one really knows what lies within

what lies within?"

so many issues molest
questions left unanswered
one scarred face, deadpan
staring unavailing
no one will never know!

CHAPTER 3:
"is this the answer?"

the secret lies within,
broken memory, shaken mind
will this story
ever have an end?
the secrecy of a heart
once was tender, warm and kind
now just a ruin of mankind!

"Is there hope?" levyn 3. raita!

Minulla oli pitkästä aikaa oikein kunnolla äänitellä omaakin tuotantoa Sun Collapsed -projektin ohella.

Biisi on vanha ja soittelimme tätä bändinkin kanssa muutamia kertoja ja yhden keikankin kyseinen biisi näki. Päätin äänittää biisin omana versiona ja sellaisena, niin kuin sen visioin ennekuin bändille tarjosin. Mielestäni tämä on erittäin hieno kappale niin sävellykseltään kuin melodioiltaankin. Kappale ei koskaan saanut tarpeeksi "huomiota" sinä aikana kun se oli ns. käytössä. Senpä takia tein sen uudelleen, että sen saa muutkin kuulla tämän mestariteoksen. Sanat vaihdoin biisistä, koska en vanhoja voi käyttää johtuen siitä, että ne eivät ole omaa käsialaani enkä lupaa niihin voinut/halunnut kysyä kun ei olla kyseisen herran kanssa enää puheväleissä, joka aikaisemmat lyriikat teki. Biisi kuitenkin on omaa käsialaa alusta loppuun.

Iso kiitos Tepolle sanoitusavusta. Ilman kyseistä herraa en olisi varmaan ikinä saanut kasaan näitä lyriikoita.
