Early years

Hexcraft's origins leads in year 2003 when Corruptor (guitar), Harbinger (guitar), Lunatic (bass) and J-J Boozefiend (drums) were playing in a same viking/folk influenced metal band. However, the band was buried soon after the first demo in 2004.

It was quiet until fall 2006 when Corruptor asked Lunatic to join up a project influenced by Burzum and Isengard. Thorgrim was summoned to take care of vocals and project's rehearsals continued with drum machines. During early winter J-J Boozefiend and Harbinger were also recruited and hunt for rehearsal place had began.

2007

Finally, serious training was possible with full line up and a rehearsal place found from Kuopio in the end of January. At the time band was still without a name. Lots of suggestions were made and great part of those were dropped. The struggling with name has come to its end in March when band name was ale-sealed as Hexcraft.

With great enthusiasm, the songs for first demo were shaping quickly. Recording sessions were planned to take place in mid-summer. Just before sessions J-J Boozefiend was kicked out from the band because of lack of motivation. At the same time Eld was asked to draw a logo and design cover art for upcoming record. At first he was recruited as an artist, but soon on a throne of drummer as well.

After the band's line up was spiced up with fresh meat, a new date for recording sessions was placed on somewhere around autumn. The first demo was recorded on one weekend in September. Sessions were hold at band's rehearsal place, under a command of mastermind guitarist Harbinger who took care of whole production.

At today, Hexcraft is working with new material for second demo, which will be released in early spring 2008.
