www.ionics.tk
Ionics is a group from Tampere, Finland, which scoops influences from hip-hop, trip-hop, jazz, funk etc. Some of the musical influences come from bands like The Roots, 311, Portishead, Cypress Hill, Jurassic 5.
The band was formed at the later half of 1999. At that time the only members were Vesa and Jere. When Vesa moved to Tampere in November 2002, we started looking for a live ensemble. We found Juho to play keyboards at the earlier half of 2003 and Tomppa to play the bass in spring 2003. Juho left the band in the late 2004, and Matti, our new keyboardist, joined the band in December 2004.

Ionics' music can be also heard on the TV program called Rocsport TV on SubTV, the finnish sportschannel and also on some swedish channel.
