Johannes Laitila: Homewards

How does he feel, now that he's left alone? How does she feel, now that she's got rid of her burden that kept her down in the dumps for several years? But now she's got rid of it.

They both collapsed. They disappeared; they couldn't stand the disgrace. Their heads are full of shame and emptiness, they don't go away. They're waiting for someone to let them out, homewards.

How does he feel? He doesn't feel at all. But there's no need to say that all's completely lost; now they are free, though they had felt they never could have been. But something doesn't go away as nothingness is here to stay.

They both collapsed. They disappeared; they couldn't stand the disgrace. Their heads are full of shame and emptiness, they don't go away. They're waiting for someone to let them out, homewards.
