Machinatrix: Landslide

you keep a flower garden
colorful fragrant beauties
carefully chosen individuals
but together they lack harmony

you weave a wreath around your neck of them
you lie drowsy on a petal bed
you believe it's overflowing love
but i think it's greed

though my heart screams pick me
i know you'd eventually erode my will to live
i need a steady ground to survive
but you're a landslide

my face keeps turning towards your sun
though a solar eclipse has once again begun
i shouldn't get too used to your glow
or i'll wither when you're gone

oh how every nerve retains your touch
and the way that you look at me contains so much
what do you want me for?
don't you know that you're
responsible of what you tame?

though my heart screams pick me
i know you'd eventually erode my will to live
i need a steady ground to survive
but you're a landslide

though my body screams take me
i know that it's not the way
i'm supposed to feel
i should cherish the ground that holds me
and tell you goodbye

how to solve this double-bind - i
don't know
