Johannes Laitila: Keys

Right now I'm asleep, and I'm going to wake up in an hour and then see how I feel, if it's really worth waking up and leaving these sheets.

I heard you're standing in the rain, so I went out on the balcony to see your face, but it's a different town and a different rain and you are so far away.

There's a kid who lost his keys yesterday while running from a bar to another on the streets, and I know how he feels, that happened to me years ago: I was standing in the snow, behind a locked door, and then took a cab to you.

But you don't live there anymore. So if I lose my keys tomorrow, I'll have nowhere to go. I'll be standing in the snow, waiting for someone random to take me home.
