New EP "Monochrome of Feathers" OUT AND ABOUT!!
*The six-piece recording "NETHERSELF" still available at rainroomband.com Homepage MySpace Rainroom is a quartet in doom-mood from all around southern Finland. Rainroom was founded in 2003 by Jp and Jere, who were playing at the time together in another band called Dewian. Dewian was hardly brutal enough, so the boys decided to brutalize their pastimes some more. In the summer of 2004, with the slow (reek of?) putrefaction of Dewian being a current issue, Jp and Jere started to notice that they had somehow developed a mutual understanding of music as a metaphysical entity (which had not much to do with Dewian). Now it was time to grab a hold of this transcendent image and realize it - in the form of deathish metal. Death fell short of both Jp and Jere's ambitions, so the elements of Funeral Doom and Ambient Music started appearing more frequently in new compsitions. These elements eventually formed the metallecological niche of the group - i.e. that of Doombient Music. At the moment, the new Rainroom EP "Monochrome of Feathers" is available for download at rainroomband.com, and the band is busy with practising new songs before entering studio in the summer of '08.
