Reality Rejected

Reality Rejected is a new solo project of S. Ylönen. The main reason for the birth of this project was that he had to come up with something fresh for his finals in Tampere Conservatory. So it was time for these songs to be written. Although Samuli is a true Zarkus Poussa of his own life, he wasn't too comfortable with playing drums for these tracks. So he decided to ask a guy that he has known for quite a long time to do the job for him. Jukka has been around since childhood. They have eaten the same cat urinated sand of the playgrounds, so it was not too hard to start working with the ideas that Samuli had. At first the thougth was to try to come up with three songs, one cover and two own creations. But as the project got further so the plans got bigger and one new song was added to the list. Jukka watched closely as Samuli worked with the songs and felt that he should too contribute in some way. So they decided that they could share the pain and work with the lyrics together. The recording process started in January 2007 and because of various reasons continued through out the whole winter. What future brings along is all blury at the moment, but there has been some alcohol driven discussions that as Samuli has the time from his band, My Dawn, something could happen also with this project.
