Silicone Prayer plays loud, hard and different from other metal groups. Sit down, relax and enjoy it loud!
It all started 2008 summer, when vocalist Alpha and drummer Penpe got the idea of forming a nu-metal band with death metal vocs, which was meant to be a humor project, since Penpe didn't have more than about 8 months of drumming experience and Alpha had other projetcts going on. So they started to practice with a bass player from a friend band blindways, who was supposed to play guitar at first, then played a little bass, and quit the band being too busy for something not that serious. But things changed to a more serious direction during those times. Tony Michael joined the band to play the lead guitar, and Penpe and Alpha had come up with the first Silicone Prayer song that would later be called Bottled, which with its massive sounding riffs and cathchy clean chorus showed the band right away that this band was supposed to be something else than a humor project.
Tony Michael had proven his unique guitar skills, and got along with the other guys very well. This three member band started practicing and came up with new song, This Day, This World. The band had a gig coming up, but they still needed someone to play the bass guitar. A friend of Alpha, Olli was asked to play the two incoming gigs. Between those two gigs a young guitar genius Ozone convinced the band with he's skills, and he became the the rhythm guitar player of Silicone Prayer. Shortly after Ozone had joined the band, a new song Sound of Hope was born. With three original songs and one cover song, Silicone Prayer played their second gig. Silicone Prayer were very encouraged by all the positive feedback they got, despite the fact that the band wasn't ready for playing gigs yet, and those gigs really did not go that well...
Silicone Prayer decided to make a rehearsal recording with their three songs. But those recordings were never published or even recorded completely, because the band decided they weren't ready for that yet. Silicone Prayer continued to practice together even more intensely and started to work on new material, a new rehearsal room was found also, where the sound was a lot clearer than in the one before. There the band could really focus on getting their playing together to a lot better level. The guitarists also started practicing together for real. At this point the band started sounding better than never before. And they decided to go to studio to record the real deal, and the band recorded the two songs available here in myspace. Silicone Prayer is very encouraged after succesful studio sessions, and is looking forward with expecting and hopeful minds!
Second track from Silicone Prayer's first recording "This day".
