Sounds Like a Plan

Historia: It all started in 1987-88 when we were born..................for this! We have played our whole lives, in different bands and projects. Sometime in 2006 Joona Valokorpi and Turo Kannisto got an idea to start playing again after a few year's pause and to compose songs, some of which ended up on the first record, for example "Born for this". Other band members were difficult to find and while making their own music, they played a lot of Guns'n'Roses, whose influence can be heard in the band's sound today. The band's music could be described as 80's Hard Rock with a modern twist. Other sources for inspiration are Mötley Crüe, Peer Günt, Hanoi Rocks and Velvet Revolver. In 2008 it was time for the compulsory military service for all the band members and there Joona met Antti "Andy" Viitanen, who joined the band.In the summer 2009 Eero Lunnikivi joined as well, after Turo remembered that his old school friend could play anything. After a few phone calls, Eero was already buying his first drums and Sounds Like a Plan was born. Winter 2009-2010 brought new challenges. The band was still missing a singer. Some gigs were already booked and the band worked hard to find the perfect person to be behind the mike. Many people came to try, but none of them was what they were looking for. For this reason, Joona worked as the temporary singer until the right person could be found. A few months later in June 2010, Turo called his old friend and a few days later Jukka Metsä-Mattila arrived and it was a done deal. All the other members of the band knew Jukka already as well, so he fit in right away. Winter 2010-2011 was spent in the studio. Making the first album was tough and a great learning experience. Nevertheless, the band decided to make a full-length, since they had written a lot of songs. So many in fact, that some of them weren't included on the first album but are waiting for a second round at the studio.
