HeartBurn: Three Little Sisters

Three Little Sisters

Had a family I really loved
Not my own but they took me in
Big family with a lot of heart
I was the brother just a wild card

Always gave me a place to stay
Cup of coffee, a beer for the ache
And I drove the girls around
Boys knew not too speak too loud

-All these things come to pass-

Three little sisters- where are you now
Did you fly away too soon
Three little sisters- where are you now
Did you grow up too soon

I loved the oldest girl
Good girl but things went bad
Hung around, saw them grow
Time went by and the scars show

Been six years in lost and found
No calls, no card, just slipped away
But each night I raise a beer
Three little sisters I hold so dear

-All these things they come to pass-

Three little sisters- where are you now
Did you fly away too soon
Sweet little sisters- where are you now
Did you grow up too soon

Backed my back and I hit the road
Wanted to see them way up north
Could I just heal the wounds
Make it all fit like worn-out shoes

Found the mom and dad at home
They shed a tear for the brother man
The angels had flewn too far
Three stones on a black graveyard

-And all good things they come to pass-

Three little sisters- where are you now
Did I fly away too soon
Sweet little sisters- where are you now
Let you slip away too soon.
