Empyreum: Tomorrow's Dying

Walking along these paths of my dreams
Watching around me, emptiness trying to take over
All these memories I have in my mind
I want to touch that beautiful flower…

But too late I try to reach it
See how it dies in front of me
I don’t feel any bad losing it
Although it was my abutment

I need to stop and think what’s happening to me
Look how the sky’s changing it’s colour to dark red
I try to go near that swaying tree
Now I realize why I’m here: tomorrow’s dying

I try to turn back but I can’t
The road is gone behind my back
The only way is to press on
Towards that lake I see so far

All these memories I have inside me
Are trying to get out as soon as they can
My body strives for that beautiful lake
But my mind says to hurl myself at the ground

I need to stop and think what’s happening to me
Look how the sky’s changing it’s colour to dark red
I try to go near that swaying tree
Now I realize why I’m here: tomorrow’s dying

After all I was able to go back
Without any dreams, memories or feelings
For this once I touch gently these trees
Tomorrow it will be too late…
