Dying Out Loud: Funeral without rain

staring at the ceiling, cold blanket of despair giving no warmth
there's no feeling, dead planet rotates until it's gone
tubes in my veins, keeping the little life that i have left
torrential rain, i can hear the sound of bleeding sky

our dreams are like stars that no more glow,
did you ever comprehend?
and now when my body has no scars to show,
maybe now you know what i meant?

we can't just stand on the ledge,
we have to leap
the scars that our bodies bear,
are the things we get to keep

let go of my hand,
and hide your light
the place i'm going to now,
is filled with dark

behind this mask of a clown,
there's a man who never laughed
i can hear the sound of a weakening rain,
bring me the end of my pain...

...funeral without rain
