Corey Feldman Gets Engaged to Girlfriend Fearing Donald Trump Will Deport Her

With his latest album release, Angelic 2 the Core, behind him, Corey Feldman has another celebration to look forward to. The Goonies veteran and his girlfriend, Courtney Anne, recently celebrated their fourth anniversary, and in an interview with People, Feldman announced that they're engaged.

Despite both Feldman and Anne initially being "anti-marriage," the singer popped the question to secure his union with Anne out of fear of president-elect Donald Trump. "Seeing as she's Canadian, and with [Donald] Trump coming in, we didn't want to risk being separated by new immigration laws," he continued. "We both know that we make a good team and don't want to be separated for any reason. So this is the best decision to protect our relationship."

Feldman still made the proposal special, reliving his childhood recess days by popping the question using a small note that read, "Will you marry me?" with yes and no boxes for Anne to choose her fate. "I was, of course, a bit nervous, as any man will admit. You never truly know what a woman is thinking," the former child actor told People. "There's always that insecure part of my brain that regresses immediately to my childhood and thought maybe not."

The note was accompanied by a ring, yielding the response he had hoped for. "Luckily she said yes!"
