What made you launch a clothing line? I knew at 8 years old that this is what I wanted to do. I was always designing clothes, pinning things together, it was just a part of me. One day I just went for it on a complete leap of faith. I realized I was always looking for beautifully made shirts from luxe fabrics and could never find them. That’s when everything really started to happen.

How would you describe your brand? Feminine, sensual, sophisticated and cosmopolitan.

Why do you think it became such a hit with celebs? I feel like for me it was introducing menswear poplin as something that could be sexy and feminine which people had not seen much of prior, so people become excited about it. Celebrities and their stylists become loyal to a designer whose quality they respect, who’s aesthetic they relate to and who they know designs that category best.

Where do you get inspiration from? My cultural background and upbringing. My mother is American, and my father was Greek. Growing up in Montreal I was always immersed in many cultures which I really loved and appreciated. Whenever we would travel I’d always be fascinated by both the difference and the transcendence in fashion from one country to the next.

What trends are you excited about for spring? I’m feeling that feminine and romantic is very much still trending, but it’s getting a little bit harder, a little bit more edgy. I’m loving the mix and definitely think that will continue.

What should every woman have in her closet? A white blouse she feels both sexy and powerful in… Every time she throws that on, she is unstoppable!

What made you launch a clothing line? After working in fashion PR, we noticed a gap in the market for affordable luxury fashion. Leveraging our own experience and advice, we masterminded Lavish Alice to uniquely bridge the gap between the high street and high end.

How would you describe your brand? A juxtaposition of minimalism and extravagance, directional design with forward thinking lines. It's both affordable and luxurious, while cleverly blending urban cool with an elegant feminine edge. You shop at Lavish Alice for something different and truly unique.

Why do you think it became such a hit with celebs? When A-listers are not wearing designer, they often mix it up and opt for cool, luxe quality, affordable luxury boutique brands like Lavish Alice for a completely unique and fresh look. We have built relationships with stylish stars who organically champion the brand, and often wear Lavish Alice pieces to sit front row at fashion week and on the red carpet.

Where do you get inspiration from? We draw inspiration from architecture, sculpture, interiors and the runway; driven by street style, a British sensibility and love of the new. At the heart of everything we do is the product. Bold design, intricate cuts, sensory cloth, a Lavish twist; our garments are our obsession.

What trends are you excited about for spring? Shoulders will remain a focus, while cuffs and collars will be remixed and redeployed with a directional, feminine edge. As for accessories we feel, jewelry will be geometric and bold, complemented by new season slipper mules, ankle boots and skate shoes with knots and oversize fringing.

What should every woman have in her closet? Every woman should own a signature Lavish Alice cape blazer in her closet. It’s suitable for glamorous event style, dressed up with heels and accessories, or team with flats and jeans for more pared back, casual duties.
