News update 1st of July 2010.


First things first: After 18 years, Anttila (guitar) has stepped aside from Impaled Nazarene. There is no drama or bullshit involved. Jarno is simply too busy with his work and family. Cheers and beers to Jarno for sticking with us that long!!!!

Jarno�s departure does not affect our plans. We will continue as four piece.

As we previously reported, we will enter Hellhole studio this month with our very own soundman Tero Kostermaa to record our 11th full lenght album. Writing has has been going very well, we have 12 finished songs so far. We will record also a song made by Jarno for us as it is a kick ass tune and he gave us permission to use it.

ROAD TO THE OCTAGON is the album title. We can reveal some songs titles:

* Under Attack

* Tentacles Of The Octagon

* Silent, Violent Type

* Execute Tapeworm Extermination

* Gag Reflex

* Tremble, Man Of god

Road To The Octagon will be released by Osmose Productions in the beginning of November 2010. Album shall be mastered by Mika Jussila and artwork is handled by Darkgrove Design.

We can also confirm that we have been booked to play MARYLAND DEATHFEST 28th of May 2011. This will be exclusive show for USA in 2011!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

News update 1st of August 2010

We have finished all recordings of our 11th studio album ROAD TO THE OCTAGON. It took us precisely 6 days at Hellhole studio with our very own soundman Max "Miami/safari" Kostermaa.

Circa 33min!! No slow songs, no flirting with power/doom whatever. This is Impaled Nazarene at its most violent in years. And yes, lots of people have been calling for more punk and here it is delivered!! D-Beat yes! Guitar and bass (YES) solos!

Max starts mixing the album and rest of us take well deserved break. We will master the album with Mika Jussila at Finnvox studio on 27th of August.

Press/album photos have been already shot by Jarkko Viitasaari.

We will do a video also, most probably from Enlightenment Process track.

And we did record two extra tracks. This is tied to new album/20th anniversary thing, you guys will get something in October. More of that later!!!

The Darkness Festivaalin pääesiintyjän paikan täyttää kotimaisen black metallin pioneeri, Impaled Nazarene. "Nuclear metalliksi ulosantiaan nimittävä yhtye on kansainvälisesti tunnettu ja paikoin hyvin epätoivottu." Yhtyeeltä tulee aivan kohta pihalle uusi kiekko, "Road To The Octagon". Tämä yhtye ei suurempia esittelyjä kaipaa.

Ennen Impaled Nazarenea lavalla nousee yksi kotimaisen black metallin ylivoimaisista kärkinimistä, nimittäin Kommander Lord Sargofagianin johtama Baptism. Baptismin rienaava ja kylmä black metal ei takuulla jätä kylmäksi, edes mahdollisilla tammikuun pakkasilla.

Illan aloittavat Kuopiossa 1998 perustettu Flame ja helsinkiläinen 2006 vuonna perustettu Desolator.

Flamen infernaalinen black metal iskee takuulla Urnin, Sarcófagon, Beheritin
ja Mortuary Drapen kuuntelijoille. Yhtye julkaisee myös kohta toisen pitkäsoittonsa, joka kantaa nimeä "March Into Firelands", joten uusia biisejä kuullaan takuuvarmasti illan aikana.

Kun taas Desolator hyökkää kuuntelijoiden korville Blasphemy-henkisellä,
väkivaltaisella ja kaaottisella black metallilla. Eternal Desolation!
