Exapathy perustettiin vuonna 1995, tosin toisella nimellä, Valtteri Sahalan ja Iivari Järvensivun toimesta. Vähitellen bändi kasvoi nelihenkiseksi ja pääsi vääntämään oikein kunnolla.
