Historia: BIOGRAPHY) The PowerSteel history begins in the small city of Tijucas (state of Santa Catarina/Brazil) in the year of 1999 when then the guitarist Lauro Brito Jr and some friends decide to set up a band to play Heavy Metal music, in this same year after some months practicing their own musics they accomplish their first show in Florianópolis and soon after they release their first demo-tape called “First Killing” ( this demo brings the audio of this first show accomplished in Florianópolis). the following year, in 2000, the band participates of some festivals in the Underground circuit of Santa Catarina state and start composing material for their next demo-tape “Metal Survivors”, which would be released in the following year, but, it was in 2002 with the release of the cd-demo “Death Crusade” that PowerSteel began to consolidate their name in the scene of their state and through a great review that left in a well known magazine to become a little bit known out of the territory of their state. A curiosity is that the drumer Emílio Tambosi lived in the city of Táio that was about 150 mile away from Tijucas where the other menbers of the band lived. In 2004 the band decides to record their debut album in A.M.L. studio in Florianópolis, same place where they had recorded their other songs, but for lack of money the cd takes two years to be ended, in the early of 2006 the debut album is ready, but as the band doesn't have money to release it and no record demonstrates interest the band decides to give a time, Emílio Tambosi (Drumer) and Sidnei Martins (bass) decide to leave the band. In 2007 PowerSteel comes back to the stages with new line up: Lauro Brito Jr. (guitar and vocal), Thiago Bonaza (Bass) and Rafael Tyrant (Drums) and in an independent way they realese Their “First Ep” containing four music of the debut album. After some months Thiago leave the band because musical divergences and Marcelo "Crazy man" an old friend of Lauro takes his place in the band. Now PowerSteel is looking for a Label to release their Debut album.
