emperors and usurpers after another

Rome and beyond
Julius, Tiberius, Caligula, Nero
heroes of war, traitors on senate
times of peace, times of war

flashing before my eyes
glory and rapture of past
timeline is shattered
as they all crash to my mind

imperial orgies, agony of peasants
words against actions
treasons and worship
survivals and deaths

trapping me to minds
of conspirators and kings
lunatics and ambitious men
atrocities that happened

witches and priests
black and white
"good" and "evil"
persecutors and the haunted

those times still reflect what we are
reptiles...fishes...sheep
liers and usurpers with no end
murderers until theres no one left
