For years I have wandered alone
and no soul have I met but that of my own
through silent winters I prayed the sky
for roads grow darker and lonesome am I

These forests have been my only friend
far beneath the grey elms I wither and bend
and still I am searching my way back home
fearing I will die before; left here alone
