Sid Shuffle

Seven years have been passed since I made my previous SID tune. So, it was already time to create a new one. Sid Shuffle is a SID tune with a shuffling beat, hence the name. I composed this piece with the GoatTracker 2.70 program emulating the MOS 8580 SID chip. I chose the 8580 as it is known to follow the specs more rigorously than the 6581. I believe I could have tuned the piece also for the 6581 but the use of the filters would have been more unpredictable. For the ones unfamiliar with the genre: The SID sound chip was brought to homes as the sound source of the Commodore 64 and 128 computers in the 80s. However, there still exists people playing around with the chip.
