something inside me
seeks freedom
freedom from the chains

to the hanging noose
it speaking to my mind
"go for it"

the noose gave up
and I fall to the ground
I hit my head to floor
the noose lied to my mind

They drag me to
mental institution
theres problems with mind
that seeks to get out

they say i'd hurt myself
if i was free
but it is not me
it is my mind

straight jacket
keeeps me warm
as the pills and needles
come here too often

preacher comes to visit
saying devil is teasing me
preaching "suicide is sin,
and is a path to hell"

I guess I am lucky
not so much time ago
I wouldve been on stake
as a human pyre
